From the book "Gods About Us", Max Rempel
Immaterial substances have kinetic properties that are useful to know. They possess the properties of a liquid, and indeed of an elastic liquid. For instance, it can be set swaying in time. Thus, for example, if some activity is repeated regularly - say every day, or once a week, or once a month - then that activity or event acquires its own inertia. It becomes easier to do at its appointed time, and other events arrange themselves of their own accord so as to support the established rhythm.
People who organize regular gatherings and seminars know that if the rhythm of an event is disrupted, it ceases to sustain itself, and obstacles quickly arise, as if out of nowhere, that hinder its continuation.
Of course, this effect has a material cause as well, but it also has a supernatural one - namely, the emergence of rhythmic oscillations within immaterial substances.
This same wave-like property of the immaterial ether is used in energy healing. For example, in order to stir up the energy of an ailing part of the body, the healer feels out in the air above the sore spot the clots of negative energy. And before removing these clots, he sways the energy envelope above the sore spot with oscillating movements of his hands, as if performing a rhythmic massage in the air.
This swaying too is performed rhythmically and works because the etheric substance has its own oscillatory properties.
The action of the law of attraction is governed by similar oscillations. When a person thinks about what attracts him, he tunes himself to the wavelength of reception, and the oscillatory pattern of his consciousness sends an oscillatory request - a chord - into the immaterial world, into the universe. And the universe, in response, has the ability to amplify this chord like an echo and to select for it correspondingly such events and conditions as will resonate with the request, and will support and amplify the swirl, the flame, the idea created by the request. Thus the thought attracts events and conditions conducive to its realization.
Not all thoughts are realized in this life. But some are realized by the mechanism described. An example of such realization is love. First arises the idea of love, then it is realized in a union. Likewise, first arises the idea of a child, then it is realized in a human being. One attracts and materializes the other.
It is important to understand that not only do positive thoughts attract positive events, but negative thoughts attract negative events.
Fear and anxiety, say, attract the very object of that fear and that anxiety.
